Simple Fun 2016

If we judge Simple Fun 2016 by the number of painted faces and people dancing, it’d be safe to say it was a success!

The morning kicked off with bike parade, led by Kronau’s own yellow fire truck.

When they got back from the parade, guests had the opportunity to meet Princess Belle and Spiderman. Belle invited the kids to sing and dance with her, while Spiderman offered a great photo opportunity for kids and parents alike.

The carnival ran all day. Last year, our volunteers couldn’t keep up with all the players, and 2016 was similarly busy. Likewise, festival-goers were able to wander through the book and bake sale at their own pace throughout the day.

And let’s not forget the yummy food! Thanks to these cooks.

Kronau Museum was thrilled to host Ontario-based family rock band Upside of Maybe. Their sets were lively and kept the crowd grooving all afternoon. We’re grateful they included us in this year’s tour.

Big shout out to our sponsors: SaskTel, SaskCulture, Saskatchewan Lotteries, and Young Canada Works. Thank you to our entertainers — Princess Belle, Spiderman, author Ponziano Aluma, and Upside of Maybe — for making the trip out to Kronau. As well, hugs to Kronau Memorial Hall Cooperative for lending their bingo machine, and to our volunteers who so tirelessly donate their time to make this festival great each year.

We hope everybody who came out had as good a time as we did hosting, and that you’ll be back next year — with friend!
