MUSEUM IN A SUITCASE – FROM FIELD TO MARKET
This exhibit focuses on the history of grain farming in Saskatchewan. Collected with assistance from the Saskatchewan Hall of Fame, the Saskatchewan Archives, and the Hudson Bay Company’s Local History Grant program, it includes various sections including the farm story, the affects of the Great Depression, advancements in farm machinery, and the history of the grain elevator. As well, you can identify and learn of common grains that are grown within Saskatchewan.
The suitcase contains a PowerPoint presentation, physical grain seeds, small replica farm machinery, and scrapbooks.
Come experience our tribute to our local farming history, which moulded our province to what it is now.
